I do believe that social media has its positive and negative effects on society. One great advantage is that communication is endless and multiple platforms connect individuals through a network. It also connects us to businesses around the world. A disadvantage I can think of is the lack of privacy that comes from having a profile on a social media site.

Social media is changing the way we promote and market services or products locally and internationally. It becomes a more important aspect when businesses utilize the programs to promote for a better world (what some major companies are investing in today).
Social media is definitely a great asset to both businesses and consumers. It's opened up a whole new world where a businesses' customers can voice their opinion openly about their product or service. Peer reviews have become such an important aspect to the people interested in a certain product and if a company has bad (or good) customer service, people will be sure to say something about it and it can really effect a businesses' success.
